Each signer must present a valid, unexpired photo ID (Driver's License, State ID card, U.S. Passport, or Military ID).
Fill in all information on your document except for the signature and date lines. Do not sign before the notary arrives.
All signers must be present and coherent. If your document requires independent witnesses, please arrange to have them present with photo ID.
General Notary Work Guidelines
General Notary Work covers standard personal, legal, and financial documents that require a state stamp/seal. Examples include Powers of Attorney, Living Trusts, Last Will & Testaments, Bills of Sale, Vehicle Title Transfers, Sworn Affidavits, Leases, and Contracts.

No. Under Wisconsin law, the notary must witness you sign the document in person. You may fill out all other text fields prior to the appointment, but the signature and date lines must remain blank until the notary is physically present with you.
Wisconsin requires unexpired photo identification issued by a state or federal government agency. Acceptable IDs include a Driver's License, State Identification Card, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Military ID. Expired IDs cannot be accepted.
Some estate or healthcare documents require independent witnesses in addition to the notary stamp. Clients must provide their own witnesses. Witnesses must be over 18, bring valid photo ID, and cannot be named in or benefit from the document.
No. A notary public is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice, choose notary certificate wording, or draft documents. If your document does not contain pre-printed notary wording (an Acknowledgment or Jurat), please ask the issuing entity or an attorney which certificate to request.
Total appointment cost is based on Wisconsin's state-mandated $5 fee per signature/stamp, plus the travel fee calculated based on distance from Kaukauna (and facility/after-hours fees if applicable). See our Pricing section for full details.
